As we are unable to get together in-person this year for a Volunteer Conference, we have decided to host a virtual one! Our month-long celebration will feature a variety of sessions that volunteers from across the province can register to attend. Session topics include:
Guest Speakers
We've pulled together some exciting presenters to talk to you throughout the month on mental health, how sport impacts feelings of belonging, and unified programs.
Community Spotlight Sessions
These sessions feature your fellow volunteers, LETR partners, and athletes! Learn from their expertise and experience on a variety of topics including fundraisers, virtual engagement, all things athletes, and various volunteering topics.
SOO Sessions
Led by SOO staff and partners, these sessions will teach you new skills, cover relevant topics, and answer some of your burning SOO questions.
School Sessions
Join a panel of educators to discuss a variety of topics pertaining to school programs or tune in to a presentation regarding transitioning athletes from school to community programs.
NCCP
Throughout the month we will be hosting coach education sessions, including SOC's Competition Introduction, Athletics Ontario's Foundations in Coaching, and Boccia Ontario's Learn to Coach Boccia
Social Sessions
We can't meet around the campfire this year, but we can get some social time in! Join us for happy hour, help your fellow volunteers escape the SOO storage room, or try your luck at trivia.
